Let’s Chop-It-Up This year’s 2020 Youth and Young Adult camp-meeting is going to be a virtual experience that you cannot miss! What are Generations Y & Z asking the church for most? They are asking for space and time to share vulnerable and transparent dialogue about how they are feeling, how they are wrestling, and how they are coping. Chop-It-Up 2020 will be that space! It will be a space where themes such as Life, Religion, and Forgiveness are discussed in refreshing ways that don’t avoid or disregard the tough conversations but welcome and embrace them instead. Each of the three discussions will feature a celebrity guest, a local pastor, a student, and your Youth Directors. Plus, we will be launching our very first Virtual Scavenger Hunt on Sabbath afternoon! The whole weekend is going to be a celebration of the healing real-talk can bring to a community. We are excited to announce this year’s celebrity guest line-up for the upcoming Chop-It-Up 2020 virtual event which begins Friday, June 12 at 7 pm CST. Friday Evening Kelontae-GMAHonors image Kelontae Gavin is a prophetic worshipper who has a growing platform of supporters thanks in part to a YouTube clip of the Ridgeville, South Carolina native singing “I Won’t Complain,” which to date has amassed over 1 million views. Since then, more video clips of the singer have hit social media platforms, garnering over 1.3 million views. Kelontae is a force that is taking this nation by storm. Sabbath Afternoon When the raw truth of the gospel and skillful penmanship collides, you get the artistry of Ezekiel Azonwu’s lyrical evangelism. Now based in Los Angeles, CA, Ezekiel teamed up with Passion for Christ Movement and became one of the voices of their poetic army. With YouTube videos being bombarded with hundreds of thousands of hits, the hunger for his explicitly powerful message is undeniable.
